The construction of The Lakeview, a luxury apartment complex overlooking the picturesque Lake Superior in Duluth, MN has commenced. A unique project innovation, the exterior will utilize Infinite Facade™ by Wells, a fully unitized building envelope solution.
Landmark Development broke ground on the 210-unit, 15-story structure in April 2024. Wells has been an integral building solutions partner from project conception, ensuring a seamless integration of innovative building envelope construction solutions. Initially considering traditional site-built systems for the project, Landmark Development chose Wells as its partner due to the company's years of multi-family experience and full-service prefabrication and installation expertise. Infinite Facade integrates windows, insulation, and drywall-ready frames into a single, efficient facade system. The system not only enhances the building's thermal performance, crucial for the harsh weather conditions in Duluth, but also significantly shortens the construction period—a critical factor given Duluth's challenging winters and labor market.
The Lakeview is an exciting addition to Duluth, where it’s expected to make the downtown area more active and robust. Once complete in Fall 2025, the development is poised to be one of the premier apartment complexes in the city.
