Luxury views in downtown Duluth.
Rising 15 stories above the shores of Lake Superior, The Lakeview is a luxury apartment complex that redefines high-end urban living in Duluth, MN. The 210-unit development utilizes Infinite Facade™ for the majority of its building envelope, chosen for its superior thermal performance, which is crucial for the harsh winter weather conditions in Duluth.
The single-source panels—including windows, insulation and an acid-etched architectural facade—comprise approximately 75% of the enclosure from the third floor and above. With their lightweight attributes, they easily integrate seamlessly with the other enclosure systems on the structure, including window walls, metal studs, and EIFS.

In addition to the long-term operational benefits of Infinite Facade, the system also benefitted the construction timeline. The prefabricated panels significantly shortened the construction period—a critical factor given Duluth's challenging winters and labor market. Another key aspect of the project’s efficiency was minimizing the number of trade partners throughout the process. The glazing contractor used onsite for the curtain wall system also installed the windows directly into the prefabricated panels at Wells’ Albany, MN facility before shipment to the site, ensuring quality consistency. Additionally, the panels reduced crowding on the site and were delivered as needed to support the site’s challenging location on a downtown hillside.
The Lakeview showcases the advantages of Infinite Facade, offering a high-performance, aesthetically striking solution that meets the demands of modern urban construction.
